Abigail Breeding, Teaching Fellow
Hi, my name is Evan Brown, and I’m originally from Gulf Breeze, Florida. I got my bachelor’s degree in History from Eckerd College in 2009. In 2013, I joined the US Army and served for ten years. While in the army, I was able to become a certified teacher! I’m currently pursuing my
master’s degree in Global History.
My life is enriched by my partner, Amanda, and our two border collies, Dexter, 13, and Poppy, 5. We returned to Amanda’s hometown of Bremerton in 2017 from North Carolina. In our free time, we enjoy the outdoors, taking our dogs on hikes, boat rides, walks, or runs. I also enjoy playing soccer, going to the gym, reading, and tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons.
I’m passionate about making the world a better place, and I think one of the best ways to do that is through education, and that’s what drives me as a teacher.

He finds immense joy in coaching and helping others discover the pleasures of recreational sports. Despite the weather, he carves out time to immerse himself in Washington's natural beauty through walks, hikes, and camping trips. While he has tales of his own adventures, Jander is always eager to lend an ear and listen to the stories of others.
